Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 19, 2026
1776 Desk is a trade name of Joietoria LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have.
What we do
1776 Desk is an AI back office for small staffing and recruiting firms. We help re-engage past candidates, schedule interviews, chase timesheets, send hiring-manager updates, and rank applicants. A human at the client firm makes every decision. We never auto-reject anyone.
Information we collect
From website visitors and prospects. If you contact us or book a call, we collect what you give us, such as your name, work email, company, and message. Booking runs through Cal.com, which handles the scheduling details you enter.
From clients. When a firm uses 1776 Desk, we access the data it connects to the service. This can include candidate, contact, timesheet, and job information. We use only the access needed to do the work the client asked for.
Basic technical data. Our website and tools may record standard data like browser type, pages visited, and approximate location, mainly to keep things running and secure.
How we use information
To provide the service to our clients and follow their instructions
To reply to inquiries and schedule calls
To send messages that clients have approved
To keep the service secure, fix problems, and improve it
To meet legal obligations
Who processes information
1776 Desk is built on xAI's Grok models through xAI's developer platform. Information needed for a task may be processed by that platform to generate results. We also use service providers for things like scheduling (Cal.com), email, and hosting. They may use information only to provide their services to us.
1776 Desk is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by xAI or X.
We never sell data
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for others' advertising.
Messages and opt-outs
Clients approve every message template before it is used. We follow anti-spam rules. Every outreach message includes a way to opt out, and we honor opt-outs. We keep logs of what our automations send so clients can review them.
Client data and candidates
For data a client connects, the client controls it and decides how it is used. If you are a candidate or contact of one of our clients and have a question about your information, please reach out to that firm. You can also email us and we will help route your request.
How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. We delete working copies of client data when the client asks or when service ends. We may keep limited records, such as send logs and billing records, where needed for legal, security, or accounting reasons.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
Our service is for businesses. It is not directed to children under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date.
